November 21, 2006

Good Afternoon one and all, We went to Parent Teacher interviews yesterday. Sierra was our first stop and only thing the teacher had to say was we should encourage Sierra to write stories at home. Went to Shawnee's class next and only thing the teacher had to say was Shawnee is realizing that she is not the Princess (yeeeees we all sucked in our breath in shock and yelled WHAT?!!!)he said that in his class there was no favoritism. I need to point out that when we walked into the class there was already a parent there waiting for the teacher to talk with them, Mike and I walk in and went to Shawnee's desk and the teacher came right over . . .SOOOOOOO riiiiiiiiiiight noooooo favoritism. Ok then we go to Cheyenne and Dakota's teachers. Dakota received 3 A's and 2 B's. So Dakota's teachers had nothing but positive things to say about Dakota. Cheyenne for some reason has double blocks and is only taking Band which she received a B in 84% and the teacher said he wished he could have given her an A but she didn't hand in one assignment . . Cheyenne said she did and he believed she may have so her grade may change. Social Studies she received an A 98% no problems there, Food A 98% no problem there THEN we go to Chemistry which for some reason didn't have a grade on her report card. She received a D!!!! We talked with the teacher and she printed out all of Cheyenne's homework. Some of which Cheyenne received A+ on and some F. Some she didn't even hand in. Cheyenne pointed out again she did hand in some of the assignments, the teacher checked and sure enough found them marked THEREFORE that brought her D up to a C. I asked the teacher if she could still get some of the assignments in by the end of the week and she said YES and Cheyenne could even re-do the assignments she received a bad grade on AND correct her tests for 1/2 marks. I said awesome and if Cheyenne does all that it will bring her grade up to a B. I told Cheyenne she wouldn't be going on-line until she turned in on the homework, Cheyenne then foolishly asked if she could still go on tonight? LOL uuuuuuuuh noooooooooooo. Why not? Is your homework all handed in? no . . Then there's your answer. We put up with a moody teenager all night after that I bet she is still moody. When the teacher heard us punishing her (huge punishment no internet) the teacher said you know Cheyenne is smart as a whip, she's well behaved and I interupted and said AND GROUNDED. She should have the chemistry homework in by today.

Mike is good he went to Terrace today to pick something up from Canadian Tire (parent's gave him a Gift Certificate for there) That Mike, was going to pick up Christmas Decorations . . .hmmmmm who would that be for? considering Mike hates decorating . . I told him I'd kick his ass if he did. Let's cross our fingers he bought something for himself.

I'm still at work. Still don't have a supervisor for this week either. AND yes things are going as well as to be expected with no supervisor AKA everything needs answers RIGHT AWAY. oh well I survived last weeks explosion I'll make it passed this week too.

Ciao,

Char
