June 27, 2007

Our friends Rick and Kate are back for a few weeks.

I went away for my last training with CHOICES. WOW!! Just when you thought you were finished with all your crap, you find layers of crap. LOL!! I found out what my purpose in this world is, "I am a worthy woman giving unconditional love". My children were a big part of this weekend.

Work is going well and home life is AWESOME!! Cheyenne received a certificate from New Aiyansh Village Government for being Top Grade 11 student and along with the certificate was a 50 dollar cheque. Dakota has been working hard with his Dad getting firewood for winter. Shawnee and Sierra are still in school. Yesterday was their sports day and Sierra won quite a few ribbons. For what? . . She doesn't remember. LOL!! Shawnee was this close to coming in third. GREAT for the girls. Mike received a raise for guarding!! Way to go Mike! I am still waiting for my great news from work.

Speaking of work, it's piling up so I better get back to it.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for the kind words from you all.

Love you guys!

Birthdays etc.

So here are some pictures of the kids birthdays. Dakota received a dirt bike jersey, a Wii game and a Korn CD. Sierra received clothes, Bratz dolls and Floam. Both kids were really happy. I would like to take this opportunity to let mom and dad Ousey know exactly how much they are appreciated. This year's birthday's were an eye opener for me. My sister made it up from Terrace for Dakota's birthday and when she arrived she told me she had talked to my parents before leaving. She told my parents to look out for her on the highway because her car might not make it up to New Aiyansh and that she was borrowing money from Mike and I for gas. My parent's informed her that it's hardly worth coming up then. That comment kind of sums it alllll up doesn't it? Cuz I'm thinking Dakota is worth it and that is exactly what my sister told them. SOOOOO she passes them driving from Greenville to Terrace AND if anyone knows the area you would know that you have to drive past New Aiyansh to get to Terrace BUT my parent's could not stop in for my son's birthday. They did stop however to give my sister $20 to give to Dakota. They did however phone later to say Happy Birthday to him.

Sierra's birthday we celebrated on Saturday and on Thursday I phoned my mother with regards to her car payment being due on Friday. BIG HUGE surprise she didn't make the car payment AFTER I informed her that I did not get paid this Friday and that Sierra's birthday was Saturday. I also informed her that she has done this to me too often. On Mike's birthday I couldn't get him anything because we had to make the car payment for her, she did it again for my birthday and I told her that Mike and I are adults and can understand BUT Sierra won't and shouldn't understand. DID SHE CARE??!! Gonna have to say nope. OF course Mike and I already were prepared for such an event but I don't think we should have to. SOOO I told her to pay off the whole thing or we are picking up the car. She went to the bank on Friday for a loan. whooooohoo we shall see.

LONG RAMBLE SHORT!!! Thank you mom and dad Ousey for being there for your children but most importantly for your grandchildren. I would also like to thank Lyn and Alan!! What an awesome family to be part of!! By going through this Choices seminar thing for the past 3 months I have learned that I have been keeping EVERYONE including Mike and my own kids at arms length. I already spoke with my little family BUT by writing this blog I have also realized that I have kept such a loving, kind and warm Ousey family at arm's length too. SOOOO Love you guys!!

FYI Auntie Catherine

You Are a Boston Creme Donut
You have a tough exterior. No one wants to mess with you.
But on the inside, you're a total pushover and completely soft.
You're a traditionalist, and you don't change easily.
You're likely to eat the same doughnut every morning, and pout if it's sold out.

This is a picture of a tree hitting the Gitwinksihlkw foot bridge. Well it hit the vehicle bridge too but not as badly as this bridge. This is the fun stuff we have been dealing with at the Emergency Operations Centre which I was commandeered to be a part of. ITS OVER!!! whew . . .well at least for now. Crosses fingers and toes that it's totally over and we have seen the last of it. Mike, Kimi, Kimi's hubby Mansell, Lyle and myself went for a bike ride today to the McKay bridge to see the flood damage. Thats the big bridge on your way to Greenville. The road is eroded right at the very edge, but uuuuuuuh not the WHOLE road which is what I had heard. By the way that ride is a 68km ride. Nope not a typo 68 km. I'm going to bed.

The first picture is of the mudslide that those two people were found in.

Night all and take care.
